F-22 Raptor with a stripe of e-Starter.

The flat profile jet are the most build and flown by fliers that would like to have an easy to build jet and yet looks aggressive over the weekend. This F-22 Raptor is a collection of the flat profile jet available nowadays. Originally design by Tomas Hellberg or known as tomhe give you a different approach in the sense of motor mount, building construction, etc.

The Lockheed Martin/Boeing F-22 Raptor is a fifth-generation fighter aircraft that uses stealth technology. It was designed primarily as an air superiority fighter, but has additional capabilities that include ground attack, electronic warfare, and signals intelligence roles. Lockheed Martin Aeronautics is the prime contractor and is responsible for the majority of the airframe, weapon systems and final assembly of the F-22. Program partner Boeing Integrated Defense Systems provides the wings, aft fuselage, avionics integration, and all of the pilot and maintenance training systems.

The Airplane

The F-22 Raptoris a mid-mounted pusher model intended to be flown with tailerons only, but it can easily be equipped with ailerons and rudders. Build it from the plans attached below, or buy it as a kit, with or without motor and ESC, from 6mmFlyRC. You can also buy it from Grayson Hobby with a power combo set (motor, ESC and propeller).

The dimensions of the slots and tabs are made for 6 mm depron.


This F-18 build spec is for:
  • Wing span: 73.5 cm (28.9 inches), 71.9 cm without wingtips (28.3 inches)
  • Length: 102.5 cm (40.4 inches)
  • CoG location: 14.6 cm (5.75 inches) forward of the vertical stabilizers
  • Propeller slot: Fits propellers with a maximum diameter of 6 inches

Tips & Tricks

Depron is easy to cut, but for a neat cut you need a sharp blade. Use a cutter with disposable blades and change blades often, somehow cutting Depron seems to dull blades very fast.
